Certification Committee Charter

Impartiality Policy
CAIBOK.org is committed to impartiality in all certification activities. We ensure:
- Independence in certification decisions.
- Prevention of financial or commercial influence.
- Mandatory conflict-of-interest declarations.
Conflict of Interest Policy
Purpose: To prevent conflicts of interest in certification.
Scope: Applies to all personnel involved in certification.
Prohibited Activities:
- Examiners cannot evaluate candidates they have trained.
- Certification decisions must be free from financial influence.
Code of Ethics for Certification Personnel
All individuals involved in certification must:
- Maintain confidentiality of candidate information.

Certification Scheme Document
Purpose: Defines competency standards and certification levels.
Levels:
- White Belt – Entry-level
- Brown Belt – Commis
- Green Belt – Chef de Partie
- Red Belt – Sous Chef
- Black Belt Chef – Chef de Cuisine
- Gold Belt – Executive Chef

Appeals & Complaints Handling Policy
Appeals Process:
- Appeals must be submitted in writing within 30 days.
- Reviewed by the Certification Committee within 60 days.
Complaints Process:
- Complaints must be filed within 60 days.
- Resolutions will be communicated within 90 days.
Internal Audit Policy
